The survival

Life sees the light of the world with a cry and brings a smile on every face, of those who rejoice the new birth and celebrate that moment with love. As I contemplate upon this event common to all, I remain preoccupied and lost in a far thought. I then begin to question myself to learn why living each day as human beings is merely looked at as survival if birth is joyful.

Survival of the fittest may never be confined to a theory alone when every story of life explains that living each day is just like battling against a challenge encountered and those who emerge victorious, are those who have been able to live life to the fullest. A simple life if one could ever live, life would be easier to live. However, a meaningful life if one can live, it’s then that we would feel life is worth living.

A race is a battle and the one who keeps up the pace and reaches the finishing line, is declared the winner. Grappling with the competition of life is as tough as winning a race. It remains a simple belief that when life takes away the precious, each day that dawns shall still give hope and make us find reasons to move on till dusk falls. It is an impossibility some may say to live life freely, yet the blend of complexity and anticipation which life thrives on, many may find interesting to deal with. An aim to live some may entertain, from which one shall derive the strength to live each day purposefully. When a shattered dream is all you hold on to, no hope shall open doors to see new beginnings.

When things fall apart, I only hear words which say “no matter what, you should move on.” When one succeeds to excel, wishes come their way to say “keep up the good work.” It’s a dilemma I’m beginning to call the concoction of life, which we are obliged to gulp down with a spoon of sugar that adds sweetness, to take away the bitterness we dislike. A medicinal infusion which offers ultimate goodness like how we partake of despite its tastelessness, in hindsight when we observe life at large, we gain awareness that if lived beautifully, with time life by itself would begin to unfold moments of picturesque grace. Nevertheless, my realization of life still keeps questioning me from within to learn why “survival of the fittest” still prevails in reality?

With clarity and unbiased thinking when I try answering this riddle, I’m able to convince myself and conclude that it is the approach we adopt to live life, which defines its purpose we contribute to fulfill as days go by. The meaningful approach one adopts to spend each day, will make one think simple and be resilient to change, the combination of which will remain a prerequisite to enlighten oneself with the wisdom that life is a “miracle” not merely a struggle of “survival.”
