Mortals do desire and hope for immortality. The natural always looks out for and perceives a supernatural realm.
The created man sees himself under a government and authority far higher than and outside of himself. From this government and authority comes the natural laws that oversee the success of life.
The transgression of any of these laws carries consequences. There is a natural limitation that characterises man. And the weakness of the flesh denies mortals the power to boast in themselves. Humans do acknowledge their limitations in knowledge, wisdom and power. Indeed, there are things beyond the naked eye and minds of mere mortals.
There is a level of knowledge and wisdom that is transcendent. Without a doubt, the power to create gets to elude mankind when a certain reach of his exploits is attained. In all aspects, everyone surrenders to the invisible realm expecting their everyday supplies, successes, and wellbeing to be held in perfect harmony as it should be. And when prayers (be they whispers, exclamations, wishes or religious supplications) are being offered, they are addressed to a greater One. O yes, the human race can’t avoid the God-factor.
Supremacy distinguishes God from humans, as in the case of the supernatural from the natural, immortality from mortality, and so on. Final authority lies outside of the reach of humans. The perfection of judgment and the purity of thoughts are top contending issues within the hearts of humans and of which they have no solution to. Man is fallible, but the Supreme One is infallible.
Regarding sovereignty, no human has got it in the absolute sense. Humans may, in some cases, have unrestricted control over their fellows, but each one of them intuitively is aware that men can’t dictate to the Supreme Being or argue about His choices. And while the earthly beings are limited by time and space, since they are matter, but like the wind the spiritual transverses the material and the immaterial. Also, in the heart of man was instilled the consciousness of morality.
Really, the gift of the conscience is not of the making of man. God is the definition of holiness. Then, watching as the urge to worship pulls the heart of men it can’t be ignored that there is a hunger for that which isn’t human. Reverence always has inspired worship. A mystery surrounds God, and God is a mystery. Unlike with puzzles, this mystery has no unlock code. No mind has got the answers. How God became God isn’t discernable. How His days began is untraceable. Mankind must be contented with what has been revealed about man’s origin.
