The folly of worrying

Many people never seem to understand the fact that one of the most foolish things to do in this life, is worrying. It is as though our subconscious minds as humans has been automatically programmed and configured to start worrying when things begin to go the other way round.

Worrying or anxiety as you may call it is simply a situation where someone tries to force himself over an event he or she lacks control over. It is a state when the mind is troubled, perturbed, disturbed, and distressed.

It is more or less caused by an individual wanting to seek answers to all seemingly life’s questions, even when the answers seem to be lacking or not forthcoming.

While it is necessary to understand the fact that a little worry is necessary in order to motivate us and spur us to take action especially when we are far behind reaching out goals and objectives, notwithstanding, excessive worrying can capture our minds and prevent us from taking actions and giant steps which may lead to failures.

Often times, we wonder how we would ever achieve some things, or how a challenge would be surmounted, or how we are going to meet a particular need or solve a difficult riddle. While all these thoughts are natural considering our design as humans beings, however, it is best if we understand that the “CREATOR”, in his infinite knowledge and wisdom has hidden some things from the mind and view of the creature. You wanna ask me why? I actually don’t have answers to that, hence, reasons are not to be imagined and understood.

As we travel the road and journey called LIFE, challenges, upheavals, circumstances, and vicissitudes often loom up before us, clouding our ways and paths and preventing us from seeing what is before us.

These challenges or whatever you may want to call them to arrest our minds like a highway thief and fill it maximally with doubts, fears, apprehension, and ultimately sickness. In the end, we are forced to go through rehabilitations or treatments to cure these disorders.

Why then do people engage in worrying needlessly?
People worry in an attempt to solve their problems in their own way. They believe that the ability to solve their problems assists them greatly in solving their problems.

People worry when they are unable to let go especially of the past.

People worry when they entertain fear for tomorrow and the future.

Perhaps, you are caught in the web of worrying, you need not panic as you can do the following:

Maintain a positive attitude towards other people and life in general,
Let go of past feelings, especially those that hurt,
Develop an attitude of gratitude at all times,
Pray.

I hope you will be willing to stop needless worries henceforth.

Yeah. But beyond being instructed to have positive mindset, people who have the propensity to worry do need support from those close to them. It will be of great help.
