Life is not fair! This is a common saying among people around the globe. Economically, society is divided into two groups; the rich and the poor. This classification is based on certain requirements such as; wealth, educational status, family pedigree, properties, and achievements to name a few.
The desire to be better is a feature of every living and sane being. The poor desire to be rich, while the wealthy desire to get richer and better. In other words, no one wants to be stagnant. Life is a moving train and we all want to come on board. We desire to be better, but the fact is; desire is not enough. Life consists of different beings with different attitudes and approaches to achieving their desired success. While some work hard to achieve and attain their desires, others try but along the way they get discouraged and quit trying, while some do not even try at all. Those that never try are those who talk but never act. They are either lazy, procrastinate or are scared to reach for what they truly desire.
Life is indeed not fair. This is because, while some are born into abject poverty there are several others who are born into homes where they have more than enough to cater to their needs for the rest of their lives. If we could choose the homes and families into which we were born, some couples would probably remain barren for the rest of their lives. The reason being if the desire to be better is a priority on our list, we would scout for better and wealthier homes where we could get almost everything we need. But since life does not give us the chance to choose, we are left with no choice but to accept whatever choice life makes for us in good faith.
Life is unpredictable. Someone who is poor today can become rich tomorrow, while the wealthy can also become poor. So even if life isn’t fair, we can take our destiny in our hands and with determination, focus, diligence, and patience, write our story from grass-roots to grace. For like the chameleon, life has no definite colour. Her true colour is whatever we choose to make it. Life can be white or black, gold or silver, ash or purple, life can even be fair, but it all depends on what colour you choose to make it!
