The beauty of your scars

Have you ever thought of going on a date, taking yourself out to a cosy café or treating yourself with a nice meal? Have you ever found the courage to walk away from the things that don’t matter to you anymore, for the sake of your mental peace? Have you ever tried to become your favorite instead of being someone else’s favorite? Have you ever seen the beauty hidden behind the vitiligo skin? No, why would we do that? Because we have only learned to weep and cringe on the situations we go through.

Do you even know that from every wound, there’s a scar and every scar have its story? We cannot be kind and friendly 100% of the time. If we’re honest with ourselves, we have some pretty scary and embarrassing flaws that we prefer to avoid at all costs.

Ever found yourself angry, finished, abrasive, insane, weird, worthless, hopeless? Being different is okay. Sometimes you smile, love and cry too hard like never before. Ever wondered that somewhere between what you survived and who you’re becoming is exactly where you’re meant to be? Yes, you’re beautiful for your ability to make other people smile even when you’re sad. You’re beautiful for the way you think. You’re not only attractive for your looks but your deep-down soul.

You need to realize the worth of your existence, the beauty of your scars. Maybe in life, you haven’t had that many people you could count on. It might be a shame because sometimes we so badly want to believe in something more than our own words, at least they are the truth. No matter how horrible your days were or how long it took you to work upon yourself each second of your life, walking on wires all alone became a deathly adventure while holding onto too much of what needs letting go. Wear your scars with pride and narrate your past like a tale of adventure to everyone.

Feel all your emotions. Smile, be a little dramatic and flaunt your dimples because you gradually grow into someone else, every day you have the opportunity to start over again, to start over with the work that you want to do and not what the world wants you to do. You need to paint your personality in a million different colors. You want to leave them without scratching your heads unsure of how to handle the magic you are. Don’t be afraid of your failure, don’t be scared of a broken heart, don’t doubt your future, go with the flow.
