It’s often said that there are three things that make us who we are. The books we read, the company we keep, and what we hear. Well if you’re a music enthusiast like me then you would know that music has a very great influence in our lives, it may seem like just nothing, most people would argue that the listens to music just to relax, but it goes beyond that.
Recent studies have shown that people prefer a genre of music that matches their personalities in real life. For instance, most solitary people prefer to listen to conscious music which can be considered melancholy by nature while people that are more public inclined prefer something different.
Whichever category you fall under, just as long as you enjoy the music, it’s fantastic. Also, note that your mind works in a very adaptive way and learns to adapt to what you feed it. Now like every other organ in the body you don’t want it filled with junks, let’s it gets sick.
So you choose every song you listen to as carefully as you pick what you eat because like I said earlier on about things that make you who you are. As the saying goes (you are what you eat) also applies to what you eat.
Musicians nowadays will say anything just to get more credit and view no matter what they do, the listeners are always at the receiving end. So before you consume any musical content be sure that it is in line with what you want your mind to be like.
