Modi juggernaut continuous

2019 thumping verdict by the nation in favour of Modi to return back to power for another five years has beaten everyone’s expectations beyond a doubt.

The victory this time around is marked by BJP’s complete sweep by spreading its presence across the length & breadth of this nation riding on the enhanced popularity of Mr Narender Damordas Modi. Perhaps this time victory is even sweeter and comprehensive than what BJP had achieved in 2014.

BJP was once considered as a party limited only in Hindi heartland, but victory in 2019 has beaten all those perceptions hands down by single-handedly helping BJP to win more than 300 seats out of the total 542 seats in Loksabha. The resounding victory in 2019 has been marked by the emergence of Modi as a strong and powerful leader who can deliver for the nation’s success. We have also seen the diminishing scope and relevance of Congress as an age-old party since independence.

The victory also proved one more point beyond doubt that voters in India be it upper, middle class, OBC, SC and ST had restored their faith in the Modi’s style of leadership with hope to build a new India which is inclusive that allows everyone to progress. In contrast to the popular opinion as a party that represents the majority population, this verdict has underplayed all those existing notions by a complete overhaul. Albeit people of our nation strongly believe that there is no other leader other than Modi who can carry the nation’s hope globally by elevating our nation’s status as an emerging power globally.

Modi has a task cut out

Another five years ahead for Modi is not going to be an easy cake walk. But as a leader, he has a task cut out to overcome several systemic issues in the agricultural sector and in the area of jobless growth. I think as a head of the government, Modi would be up to the task in sorting out long term issues and take the nation forward to greater heights. However, one thing is notable that in spite of winning a massive majority by its own BJP as a party has taken all its pre-poll allies together for the common good which is really a positive sign in the long term. Perhaps compared to 2014, 2019 government by Modi would be much more accommodative and consultative in nature that respects the sentiments of its allies better than its earlier avatar.

As a voter, I wish the Modi 2.0 all the success in using all its energy with a better synergy to build a nation that is aspirational to take on the challenges head-on.
