Malaria prevention and care

Malaria is one of the diseases that are very common in tropical and subtropical countries, over 200 million cases are recorded yearly in the world, and about 400,000 people die of the disease, and the death is common among young children in Africa according to world Health statistic research.

Malaria is a deadly disease caused by a Plasmodium parasite, transmitted by the bite of female Anopheles mosquito; which multiples in blood within a few days. The species of Plasmodium will determine the severeness of malaria. This disease has created fear in the minds of several people because it seems like it’s something that can’t be prevented or care for. We are here to give you a few steps and method on how to live healthily and prevent malaria outrage.

We have seen cases whereby someone fall sick thrice in a month, and the cause is malaria since malaria isn’t a genetic disease we can trace it to some factors; for example, your environment. If you live in a dirty and bushy environment, there’s a high possibility that you will be a malaria victim. Also, if you are moving to an area where you know that there are several records of malaria cases, there are some precautions you can take:

1. Wearing clothes that can cover your body.

2. Use of insect repellent.

3. Sleeping under a fumigated net.

4. Use of anti-malaria drug.

A popular quote says “prevention is better than cure” it’s better we prevent this disease before we fall victim. And to those who are malaria victim research has made us understand that a lot of people die because they didn’t go for proper treatment. If you observe some malaria symptoms in your body such as; chills, sweating, headache and body ache, etc., please visit a medical professional for proper treatment.

If malaria is short term, it will resolve within days and weeks. Research has made us understand that malaria parasites are now resistant to common malaria drug use for their treatment due to this development; it’s advisable to go for strong vaccination. Remember that health is wealth; you can only achieve your dreams when you are in a good health state.
