Should it be common where you are for people to bear loads on their heads, then you will better relate with living under a load.
Loads when they are to be transported often do find their place of rest on the human head. It seems cheap to carry out haulage activities by merely using your head as a burden bearer. But it comes with its own limitations.
No one carrying a load on the head ever tries to nod to the sound of music. It is often a moment of great caution and concentration. A load on the head will make your walking pace to be slow. And, the weight on the head brings pain to the neck and the back. In all of this, no matter the pain that comes to the bearer, he/she has a duty to safeguard the wholeness of what is being borne.
There can be no relief to the head until the destination for delivering the goods is reached. Endurance, patience, determination, resilience, composure are the priority qualities that a burden bearer must adopt. Such too is what happens when undergoing life’s travails.
In life, each of us is one way or the other, living under a load. Though these loads can’t be seen yet each of us does bear a burden on our heads. The gravity of our individual loads differs from person to person.
Life on earth isn’t all of a merry adventure, irrespective of where you reside. Even the best of cities and countries in the world do have people who, daily, are being weighed down by that which is common to all humans; the demands of life. By being human, you automatically qualify to experience tough situations in life.
There are no age limits to experiencing life’s difficulties; neither is gender, race, religion, level of literacy, or language, and a barrier. There is absolutely nothing new about human sufferings.
Everyone sure does have a story to tell. But never forget that we humans would never have learnt/known endurance, patience, determination, resilience, composure, and the like, but not for our travails. Travails have thought us many lessons in life.
We can’t wish away life’s difficulties. We can only live under the load while it lasts. Like the head that is acquainted with load-bearing so also should we be willing to stay and live under our individual loads while awaiting that day of our much-desired relief. Joy comes as pain is brought to an end. Surviving every period of load-bearing builds an indispensable trait. Look back into your life and see the truth in what you’ve just read.
