Knowing the truth will set us free but holding on to it will cost a huge piece of peace in return.
The pain is true, the assault, the abuse, every bit of thing is true. When are we going to realize it, it’s already happened and gone? No amount of grievance can help us retrieve the innocence we once lost.
Some of us remember the pain we went through during all of our childhood. Remembering may not hurt but holding on to it will.
The longer we live in the mansion house full of pain, the longer the depression flows through the body. It won’t take much time for us to slip under a victim mind-set.
On a new day, with fresh dreams, we plan everything out, and we begin then something similar, which happened to us in the past. Furthermore, we plan everything out according to the article you read or seen it on television, we slide back, put on a blanket and disappear into the corner of the room shivering all day long. Many of them who are reading this might have known this directly or indirectly.
But one thing is for sure, we cannot alter the past, but we can modify the present according to our will. This happens when we begin to “ignore.” It’s impossible to stay strong; we fight to be strong. The longer we resist doing something at a point in time; we break and will do the exact thing that we fought to resist.
Don’t resist, breathe easy, let it go; there lies your strength. You just tried to breathe easy, and the strength you longed for had come to your doorsteps when you finally did it. Ignore the pain to ignite the peace hidden.
