Festivals, gifts, joy, and celebration bring happy memories with one’s family. Isn’t it? When the times are rough or when the times are smooth all that one has is his family and friends. One looks up to them in needs and wants. My days don’t fade, and my nearest neighbours make my nights.
One’s family is one’s nearest neighbour. The love and care one holds for the family and the concern and affection one receives is what binds them. The smile on one’s family member’s face brings joy to that one person too, and sadness strikes all at the same time. They will share and care. The family is that gift of God which will be one’s support system and strength. From making one feel encouraged to correcting one when he is wrong, they always stand by one’s side. Don’t they say, that a family which eats together stays together? The get-togethers, family gatherings, a drink, a coffee date, brunch, and the thanksgiving turkey dinners, all of them are just desirable and lovely. Family fills one’s life with the finest of moments and the brightest of days.
Humans are social beings. They need security and belongingness; this is what a family provides us. Problems are a part of life, and one grows with them. These times pass by because one has people around. No one is alone until he is a part of this lovely system of togetherness. While going through the toughest times, one should remember how blessed they are. While finding peace between the storms roaring in one’s mind, one should remember how fortunate one is to be a part of a group. Sharing, be it food, clothes, pleasure, pain, or smiles, our nearest neighbours are there for us. Proximity, cohesion, and oneness do make life better, and when one’s favourite humans accompany one, life becomes just better if not perfect.
Someone has rightly said, “Family is like fudge, mostly sweet but with lots of nuts.”
