The very first rule of online marketing, first of all, you need to know who your audience is. It’s not all about making noise, getting your name out there, posting on Facebook groups, WhatsApp groups. A lot of people talk about how they need to get their name out there, how they need more followers, fans. But fame doesn’t equal fortune. You can have 20k followers and still suck and sell nothing.
You must first ask yourself who my ideal customer is? If your answer is; “anybody alive,” Then you got a problem. So, who are they? Are they men, women, youths, older people, working class, rich people, poor people, what age group? When you find out, then you craft your message to these specific people. Once you can do this, the next thing, you look for where to get the right traffic, now you can do that Facebook ad, affiliate marketing, google ads, YouTube ads, Instagram ads. If you cannot find out your ideal customers, you’re not even ready to sell, you will probably keep advertising to the wrong people, and then you keep wondering how you get no leads.
Zero don’t multiply zero as they say. If you think increasing followers will solve the problem, well it’s not.
Then you need the right conversion mechanism. It could be your website, your telephone number, your WhatsApp. Make it easy for your customers to get access to you. Give them various options to contact you. Don’t just say “contact us on Instagram” what if your prospect doesn’t use Instagram?
When writing or designing your ad, you must think like a master copywriter. When writing your ad, you should ask yourself, “What is the emotional hot button here?”. Please, for goodness sake don’t deceive your buyers. You must maintain credibility and be true to your words, because if you hype your products without quality, then the client will never bother coming back.
When writing your ad or designing your flyers, don’t write sermons on yourself, on how great you are and your company. No one gives a shit.
Firstly, tell your customers how your product will solve their needs. What they stand to benefit and if you can add something free, do it. Everyone loves free things; it’s natural.
Make sure the words/text on your flyer is not much. Other details should be included on your caption.
You must realize people will be scrolling with speed while checking their feeds, so with lesser words the better for the reader.
People! Don’t jam-pack your ad with bunch of words. No one will read that. Put yourself in their shoes, will you read ad with bunch of words?
Like we said earlier, the heading or caption will determine if a reader will even continue reading. Take time to think about the caption you intend using.
