In today’s world, ‘fake images’ are everywhere, but do we even know what that means?
Henry David said, “Be yourself—not your idea of what you think somebody else’s idea of yourself should be”. It is easy to explain how to be real in everything—the way we want to be, the way we would like ourselves to be. Just as we say our marks do not determine our reality, our personality or our character the same applies to our truth and the image we show the world. Today we are all wearing our fake masks that hide our identity but not our true selves. We gave up on ourselves with those masks for some sort of so-called “FAME”, that has stolen our privacy, our real smiles, our thoughts and everything else. It has taken us into a world of ‘fakeness’. But it’s not still too late to be who we are and to express ourselves the way we want to be, not how others want us to be.
We have become the prey of our image of perfection in society. Social everything has become much more important than enjoying ourselves, our lives. Have we ever wondered, ‘What are we doing and why are we doing it?’ Are we making others happy even if we ourselves are not? Where has that real smile gone that was once on our face? We wear masks to hide who we are… to show off over and over, again and again. But why are we afraid of what others think? Let yourself explore the unfiltered version of yourself. Let people see how unique you are. Scared to unleash your true self? Accept the challenge to be authentic in a fake world, and then see yourself and compare how beautiful life is now.
“Fake people have an image to maintain, real people just don’t care.”
