Women have more rights than ever before. Many matters, namely educational and career opportunities, complications of dowry, reproductive rights, access to quality health, help for domestic violence, distribution of household chores, have gained attention to resolve. In the last hundred years, we had outgrown the mandatory gender roles played to an extent. And we could touch on the equal power.
In this period of transition, the question we need to ask ourselves is, are we curving right? Have the rulers of the pioneer men set a world of harmony to follow their ways? Getting an equal position to police and maintain the world as they did is equality. But are we going to achieve the best outcomes?
We have many examples of how we have adopted the life of the independent man from clothing to the use of your freedom. Women are influenced by men in how to lead being the pioneer stakeholders. It could also be the trigger of the attraction towards men privileges received when our grandmothers were bound to the house threshold.
Leadership competitions through the hierarchy that led to nuclear bombs inventions to prove the strength could destroy the world in a button switch. Most women in the media are a patriarchal doll for the male gaze that affects millions of young kids. Misguiding self-objectification as self-power, blaming victims in rapes and street harassment, still lingering practices of gender killing and female genital mutilation and holding themselves from speaking out as a fear of career suicide. To name a few, this is the current world.
We first copy the favorite person as any skill is learned and then find our true unique voice. It could be a similar process. However, as the transition takes place, we need to tweak and remind everyone. When women carry out influential roles, they should unleash their unique potential as women to balance the equilibrium. And not imitate men or fall prey to some of the wrong ways.
Influential role players can adapt to different effective methods of management like the holacratic model. Concentrate on being healthy and not thin. We should overcome the media’s design to make everyone uncomfortable in their bodies. All should strive for identities linked to strength, intelligence, sensitivity, and social commitments. And not be lured by appearance-based judgments only.
Women should have the power to participate in the front to continue change and be equal stakeholders like men. But they should construct their own methods of treatment and solutions that exclude the mess of patriarchal ways.
In proving that they can do what men do, women must not lose their uniqueness. We would all agree with the quote on women’s empowerment, ” Women weren’t created to do everything a man can do. Women were created to do everything a man can’t do.”
