I happen to live in a place where every morning when I wake up, I see aeroplanes flying in the sky, which really looks cool. Then I said to myself this morning, ‘oh, they are either going on a journey or returning from a place’. Then a further thought came to mind, there are some journeys one will embark on, and they will not return from or even reach their destination. Then I soliloquised, which journey is a must for everyone, irrespective of your social status or how wealthy you may be? A one-way BIG trip that we won’t need to pay a fortune for, like Yusaku Maezawa, the Japanese billionaire, travelling to the moon in 2023. Whether or not it will happen, is a story for another day.
The question remains. ‘How do we prepare for this kind of journey, a journey of no return?’ When preparing for a normal journey, we pack things like our suitcase, international passport, clothes and some other things, depending on how long we will be away and where we are headed to. Deciding on how you prepare for this journey might require thorough and in-depth thinking, so please take your time. If people are asked this question, different people will have different views on how they have prepared for this big journey. That is why some people have set-up foundations to assist less privileged individuals, so that the legacy they have built for years, will not remain unnoticed and will be remembered, even after they have gone for this one-way BIG trip.
As for myself, I do not have the money to set-up a foundation like others have, at least for now, maybe in the future I will. I have decided to prepare for this journey by finding ways to impact lives, no matter how small and to live in peace with everyone. I learnt while growing up that ‘your life must be joyous, no matter where you go or find yourself, you should learn to live in peace and harmony with kindly friends and even foe’. It might be difficult at times, but I have decided to live in peace no matter where I am or what situation I find myself.
If you are reading this article, that means you have sufficient time to think properly how you want to prepare for this one BIG journey, that won’t require cash, a suitcase, clothes, a visa or international passport before you are allowed passage.
