Advaita Vada (Non-dualism)

In Geeta, Arjuna surrenders Lord Krishna in a form of devotion, but Lord Krishna says you have not understood devotion do not surrender me I am within you.

Whenever God and his devotee exists between them ego will clash, needs will clash, and there will be a conflict between two, i.e. if we believe you and me exists conflicts are bound to happen in this world.

On this Krishna says, Oh Arjuna do not search for me somewhere outside, I am within you the day you will realize this you have found me, i.e. god.

Here Lord Krishna is advocating Advaita vada (non-dualism). Going a little bit ahead of this, every religion says spirituality should be part of everyone’s life. Does it mean you should pray? Be ritualistic? No, not at all.

It simply means, instead of bowing in front of older people, god, saint touch your own feet in the morning. Then anyone will feel am I really that much desirable, do I have that much important place in my life that I should touch my own feet?

When you follow this aspect, you will discover from that day you will start understanding and make yourself that much worthy to bow yourself.

Many people in India built temples in homes, buildings, educational institutes but if we observe most disputes in homes takes place on their god-deity as it takes a lot of money to perform prayers other rituals by calling priests, i.e. Pandit in a home.

And every day this idols of god requires garlands of flowers to be used on them every day and that costs a lot monthly to every householder who believes in dualism i.e. dvaita vad where there is God and devotee relation.

Can dwaita (non-dualism) wada genuinely make an impact in this world? And how.

Let’s start on Individual level, whenever a person decides to kill anyone, do harm to anyone if he has understood this concept, he will not do such acts as he knows that other one on whom he is doing whatever that other one is no different from him that is they are one “non-dualism”.

And such bad acts performing on them will be like doing something bad on oneself. If he kills that other person the perpetrator is too starting the destruction of his life. If he uses harmful, derogatory words on the other person that perpetrator is doing this harm on himself too.

The day one individual will realize that he is a nation, society even other problems are his problem, service to society is service to oneself, then this non-dualism idea can set a revolution in the world.

Going one more step ahead of this, Vasudaiva Kutumbakam implies the world is one family this is according to me the extension of advaita vada. Let us be one.
